dinosaurs!

look i know what youre going to say: "But TREYYYYY! None of these are your drawings! Don't you only post pictures of things YOU drew?" Well typically that would be the case but i just couldn't fight that cocky artistic instinct that wants me to show you some things i really like, starting with dinosaurs.

balance mechanics

i am slowly but surely getting the hang of certain balance mechanics.

the important thing is to remember your directional quality in relation to both gravity and the exaggerated action. this old man is like a camel. and this baby is like a big fat sultan.

new stuff. new sketchbook

got a myriad of pens, pencils, and paper for christmas. i figured id better get down to business

i got some nice brush pens.

these are pretty lazy inking jobs. regretfully laying on top of some much better pencils. thats supposed to john c reilly as dr steve brule.

i took two shot of this page because i always turn my sketchbook around.

couple new sketch pages

i really struggle with hands and balance mechanics. its already a slow rigorous process to understand how very complex organic forms fit into themselves. let alone how they all fit into gravity and support.

i was watching seinfeld and i was trying to come up with new designs for a funny superman. the one on the bottom right is inspired by john k's kirk douglasesque superhero faces he does with PTM and the ripping friends.
